A TRIO of former Everton players are giving their full support to a charity football tournament in Maghull.
Paul Lodge, Matt Jackson and Joe Parkinson are set to referee at the event later this month.
TMS Football Club, Maghull, are once again organising the seven-a-side extravaganza which will be held on June 21 at St George’s RC School.
Last year, the club raised nearly £10,000 for Maghull youngster Alex Connerty and the Walking With Giants Foundation.
Event organiser, Brendan Grant said: "After last year's success, the club decided to make this an annual event for the Walking With Giants Foundation.
“However we are aware of other worthy causes in need of funding and support and because of this we will also be making donations to local boy Ryan Noble who has muscular dystrophy and local girl Erin Bridges who has cerebral palsy.
“Health and happiness can be taken for granted by all of us so it is important for all at TMS to show our support for the three children and to build on the fundraising and awareness that The Great Mogul pub and their customers have shown in the last few years.
