Moran’s 6th round win

LIVERPOOL boxers proved formidable at Wigan’s Robin Park Centre over the weekend as a handful of the city’s rising stars all registered points wins.

English super-bantamweight champion Mark Moran, the city’s only current professional champion, produced a six round decision over lightweight Youssef Al Hamidi.

Tony Quigley, Paul Edwards and Peter Jones also had good weekend wins.
