Top award for Lydiate school governor

DAVID Williamson, of St Thomas CE Primary School, Lydiate, has won the Governor of the Year award at the North West Teaching Awards.

The Mersey River pilot, who was also the project manager for the new nursery at the school, said he was humbled.

He could now go on to win UK-wide recognition in October.
