A very bling mobile
HE’s a plucky young boy and now he has one very bling mobile phone.
But little Alex Connerty from Maghull won’t be keeping this £14,500 diamond and gold mobile.
Instead the four-year-old, one of the country’s few primordial dwarves, will auction or raffle the phone to raise money for his charity Walking with Giants.
The phone was a gift from the bidder who bought it during an auction at outgoing Liverpool Lord Mayor Steve Rotheram’s gala dinner.
But the new owner donated the phone, made by specialist mobile phone company Galentia, to Alex’s parents John and Sue.
It is decorated in tribute to Liverpool Football Club and is currently under lock and key.
Mrs Connerty, 39, said: “We went to the dinner and couldn’t believe it when the phone was given to Alex.
“It was brilliant. We were both shaking because we were so shocked.
